3rd Annual International School in Biomedical Sciences for undergraduate, MSc, PhD students, and young researchers “Cell Function in Health and Disease”

The School will run in parallel with the 3rd Kyiv International Symposium on Smooth Muscle Physiology, Biophysics and Pharmacology.

Attendance at the School is free, but please complete the Registration form so that the organisers and Lecturers know their audience.


Internationalization of University education and promotion of biomedical research remain the key priorities of participating universities. Thus, in organising this Annual School in Biomedical Sciences the partner universities join their efforts for establishing productive collaborative platform aiming:
- to introduce our students to modern trends and recent major developments in Biomedical research, with important focus on “from theory to practice”;
- to facilitate exchange in best international practices of university education;
- to allow our students to experience the excellence and long traditions of university education in the United Kingdom and in the USA;
- to improve practice of lectures in English and to develop English skills of students.

1. All participants will receive certificates of attendance, and we plan to publish the submitted abstracts of student poster presentations as an electronic Supplement to the SMPBP-2017 materials.

2. Please submit your abstracts as instructed http://smphys.in.ua/index.php/abstract-submission by 15 September 2017,  via an email attachment  to the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Include "Abstract for 3rd Int School" in the subject line of your email.

3. Student posters will be presented during Poster Sessions A (Institute of Continuing Education, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, 13:10-14:20 on Tuesday 19 September) and/or B (Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology, 13:00-14:30 on Wednesday 20 September) of the main "SMPBP 2017" symposium.

4. There will be three PhysSoc prizes and formal certificates for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd  best Physiology - related student presentations in poster competition with our international lecturers and members of The Physiological Society acting as selection committee.

5. The winners will also be presented with an opportunity to give a short (up to 10 min) Oral Communication at the end of SMPBP-2017 Programme on Wednesday 20 September.
